OPERATION DRAGON SPRING

On the 31st of august the town of Schijndel celebrated the fact that they were liberated 70 years ago. We supported the celebrations with a display which was built around a military hospital including a nurse and surgeon. In addition we had a XXX-corps element on display, consisting of a Dingo Daimler Scout car and a Universal Carrier.

Off course, 1st was present with a section of infantry. Our bugler Gerben van der Els played the last post at a memorial service at the Highland Division monument on the edge of town. 35.000 people visited the celebrations on this beautiful sunny day in an excellent atmosphere. To get an impression of our display take a look at the photo’s!
