REMEMBERENCE SERVICE OOSTERBEEK CEMETERY 2016

Since a few years the Royal British Legion Holland Branch organizes a Remembrance Service on the Sunday after 'Poppy Day', on the Airborne Cemetery in Oosterbeek. Here over 1700 Polish, Dutch and Commonwealth casualties of the Second World War are buried, most of them fell during the Battle of Arnhem and many of them belonged to The Border Regiment.

For the third time we were asked by the Branch to act as a Guard of Honor at the entrance of the cemetery, and to attend the ceremony afterwards. An honor to do, on these special grounds.
